Featured Artist

Each month, the shop features a different local artist. Their art will be on display and for sale in the shop throughout the month, and there will be a special reception so that you have a chance to meet the artist and hear about their work. Make sure to also check the class schedule as many of our featured artists will host a craft class during their featured month as well.

 

 

September Featured Artist

Ryanna Pinkowski

Ryanna Pinkowski is a multidisciplinary artist working in drawing, painting, printmaking, and non-traditional fiber arts. Ryanna has a BFA in studio art and recently graduated in the Fall of 2025; she is currently working in a screenprint shop, making shirts for many businesses and companies in the Brookings, South Dakota, area.

Ryanna was born and raised in Rapid City, SD, and has been interested in art since kindergarten. Many of her works are created with the environment in mind and with a willingness to experiment and play with the materials and supplies she has on hand. Ryanna seeks to create pieces that encourage deep reflection on one’s values regarding the planet and the environment they find themselves in.

You will have a chance to meet Ryanna and view her work at her featured artist reception taking place on Saturday, September 5 from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Also, join Ryanna for her upcoming plarn weaving class at the shop on Saturday, September 5 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
